As an General Technician , you’re not just maintaining the hotel’s physical safety and functionality – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance and repair tasks across different systems within the hotel, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural elements.
Diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to hotel operations.
Coordinate with the Engineering and Housekeeping departments to schedule repairs and maintenance without compromising guest experience.
Utilize a wide range of tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.
Stay updated with the latest standards and technologies in the maintenance field to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations, minimizing risk to staff, guests, and property.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTION
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities performed, including parts used and time spent, to contribute to the accurate tracking of expenses and budget management.
Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budget compliance
What It Takes to Make the Stay
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
