Terms of use

Who we are

topjobs.ae is run by [Registered company name] FZ-LLC (licence [RAKEZ licence number]), [Registered address], Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. We are a technology platform. We are not a recruitment agency, an employer or a labour supplier: we do not place workers, arrange visas or sponsorship, or take part in any hiring decision. Employers decide who they hire.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 to use topjobs.ae. One person, one account.
• You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep access to that email safe: anyone who has it can sign in as you.
• What you tell us must be true and yours. You can change it or delete your account at any time from your account page.

For job seekers

• Browsing and searching jobs, reading them in full, seeing your match scores, and building and viewing your CV are free.
• Applying through topjobs.ae uses one credit per job, and covers the apply tools: your tailored CV, a cover letter, answers to the employer's questions, sending the application and tracking it. Downloading your CV (PDF) uses 2 credits once per CV: downloading the same CV again is free, and the CV of an application you paid for is included.
• A credit is given back automatically when an application could not be sent, and when one of our employers' jobs closes or is removed within 24 hours of your application.
• Paying for credits or a plan buys tools and downloads. It never buys a job, an interview or a better chance of being hired, and no employer is told whether you paid.
• A public profile is your choice. It never shows your email or phone. Employers see your full name and contact details only after they open them, and you can hide or delete your profile at any time.
• Remote jobs from other job boards are shown with their source and open the employer's own application form at the last step. We have not verified those employers.

For employers

• You must be allowed to hire for the company you add, and send its valid trade licence for our team to check. Until we have, your jobs wait for review.
• Posting is free while you have up to 5 active jobs. Each job runs for 30 days, and you can renew it or mark it as filled.
• Adverts must be real, current jobs and follow UAE law, including the ban on discrimination by race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national or social origin, or disability. Preference for UAE nationals under Emiratisation rules is allowed. We check every advert and may refuse or remove one.
• Never ask an applicant for money: not for the job, a visa, training, a medical test or anything else. We remove employers who do, and may report them.
• Use applicants' details and unlocked contacts only to hire for the job, and keep them safe under UAE data protection law.

For freelancers and their clients

• Freelancer profiles are free. topjobs.ae takes no commission and handles no payments between a freelancer and a client.
• The client and the freelancer agree the work, the price and the payment directly. We are not a party to that agreement.
• Freelancing inside the UAE may need a freelance permit or a trade licence. Each freelancer is responsible for having what applies to them.

Payments

• Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Starting prices: job seeker credit packs from AED 29. The full list is on the prices page.
• Monthly employer plans renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page, and the plan runs to the end of the month already paid.
• A promo code gives the discount it says, once, on the plans it names. Codes cannot be combined.
• Purchases are final except as our refund policy says, and except where UAE law gives you more.

What is not allowed

• Fake jobs, fake profiles, scams, or asking anyone to pay to be hired.
• Phone numbers, emails or links in public profile text, adverts written to collect personal data, or copying other people's content.
• Scraping the site, or using it to send messages nobody asked for.

We may hide content, suspend an account or end it when these terms are broken. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person will look again.

Our responsibility

We work to keep topjobs.ae safe and running, and we check employers and adverts, but we cannot promise that every job, profile or person is what they say, or that you will find work or hire someone. To the extent UAE law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Liability wording to be confirmed by the owner's lawyer.]

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of [Ras Al Khaimah], and its courts decide any dispute.
