Job Purpose
Ensure all FAB branches and buildings are inspected by Civil Defence and other relevant regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain fire safety and security approvals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all FAB premises maintain valid Civil Defence safety certificates and renew them before expiry.
- Coordinate security system inspections and approvals from relevant police authorities before Civil Defence certificate expiry dates.
- Maintain and update MIS records related to Civil Defence certificates and monitoring system certificates.
- Liaise with Civil Defence and other regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with the latest fire safety and security regulations.
- Arrange and monitor inspections required for approvals and certifications.
- Obtain necessary police and Civil Defence approvals required for the operation of bank premises.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage contracts related to Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting equipment.
- Ensure service providers perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with service agreements.
- Ensure all locations have valid Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and required certifications.
Operational Support
- Support premises and facilities teams in obtaining approvals and clearances for fit-out projects.
- Ensure all FAB locations are equipped with up-to-date Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
- Assist with cost-saving initiatives related to Fire & Safety operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Financial Management
- Ensure timely processing of all Civil Defence and Police-related payments.
- Reconcile payments with the Accounts team to avoid discrepancies.
- Ensure all Civil Defence-related payments are processed through the FAB Administration Department Corporate Credit Card Decision-Making Authority
- Authorized to make decisions related to Civil Defence and Police renewals in coordination with the Premises team and other relevant stakeholders within the bank.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Knowledge of local safety and security regulations is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of both Arabic and English
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience dealing with local authorities, particularly Police and Civil Defence entities.
