Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your account: your email (you sign in with a code sent to it), your name, and the phone number you add if you choose to.
• What you told us when you signed up: your role, the kind of work you want and whether you are in the UAE. We use it to show you the right things first, never to rank or filter you.
• Your CV and profile: what you write or upload, the designs you pick, and your photo if you add one.
• Identity checks: a picture of your Emirates ID or passport, only if you ask for the Verified badge.
• Employers: company details, the logo, the trade licence file, and the name and phone of a contact person.
• Applications: the CV, cover letter and answers you send, the jobs you save and the stages you track.
• Payments: what you bought, the amount, and the payment service's reference. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Use of the site: pages viewed and buttons used, counted for statistics and to find faults, and your IP address for security limits.

What we never collect or use

We do not ask for your nationality, gender, age, religion or marital status, and nothing on the site filters or ranks people by them. The only exception is the optional "UAE national" switch, which you choose to show for Emiratisation hiring and which is never used to rank anyone. Your avatar is a picture only.

Who can see what

• Your CV: only you, until you apply to a job. The employer of that job then sees the CV, letter and answers you send.
• A public profile: anyone can see its card (your first name and last initial, headline and what you chose to show). Your full name, email, phone and CV show only to an employer who opens your contact, and you are told when one does.
• A freelancer profile: the same, with your rate and past work on the card.
• A company page: anyone can see the company, the date our team checked its licence and its open jobs. The licence file and the contact person are seen only by our team.
• Identity documents and licence files: only our team, and every time a document is opened it is recorded.

Services that process data for us

• Stripe: card payments and employer subscriptions.
• Resend: sending our emails, including the code you sign in with.
• Hosting and database: Vercel (the website and the files you upload) and Neon (the database). The website and the database run in Singapore.
• AI services: Groq, Cerebras, Google (Gemini), Mistral AI, OpenRouter and Anthropic (Claude), to read uploaded CVs, to write or tailor CV text and job posts when you ask, and to answer your questions to Dev, our assistant. Each receives only what that task needs. Groq, Cerebras and Anthropic may not use it to train their models. We use the free services of Google, Mistral AI and OpenRouter, which may keep what they receive, including CV text, and use it to improve their AI models. OpenRouter passes each request to the AI company that runs the model it picks.
• Meta: only if we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, a measurement pixel on our live site that counts sign-ups and purchases from our ads.

Some of these services store data outside the UAE. We use them under contracts that protect your data as UAE law requires. [Transfer safeguards to be confirmed by the owner's lawyer.]

How long we keep it

• Your account, CV and profile: until you delete them. Deleting your account removes them, your photo and your documents.
• Identity documents and trade licence files: deleted 30 days after our final decision; pictures never sent for review are deleted after 2 days. We keep only the date a document was checked.
• A CV uploaded to see matching jobs without an account: 7 days, unless you create an account and keep it.
• Pictures and PDFs of your CV made for previews and downloads: 30 days, then made again when needed.
• Orders and payment records: [5] years, as UAE tax law requires. [Period to be confirmed.]

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the personal data we hold about you, and give it to you in a file you can take elsewhere (your account page has "Download my data");
• correct it, or delete it (your account page has "Delete my account");
• stop or limit a use of it, or object to it;
• stop sending you marketing email (every such email has a one-click unsubscribe, and your account page has the switch).

Changes

When we change this policy we update this page and, for a change that matters, email account holders first.
